A real-time options flow visualizer dressed as a retro arcade cabinet. Flow tracks unusual options activity, whale alerts, and market sentiment — making derivatives data approachable, readable, and even a little fun.
Live Dashboard
The full Flow dashboard runs live below. Watch real options activity stream in — no account, no install, no quarter needed.
What is Flow?
Options flow is how traders track big money moving through the market. When someone drops $1M+ on a single call or put, that's a signal worth watching — but most flow tools are built for professionals, buried in jargon, and hostile to beginners. Flow is the opposite. It's a real-time options sentiment and unusual activity tracker designed to feel like a companion widget — readable at a glance, educational by nature, and visually distinct enough to make derivatives data feel alive.
The Dashboard
Four panels work together to tell the full story: **Money Tower** — a live treemap where each block is an options contract, sized by premium and colored by sentiment (green = bullish call, red = bearish put). Pixel-art characters populate the grid, giving each contract a personality. **Whale Watch** — unusual activity alerts. When a single trade clears a size threshold, it surfaces here with full context: ticker, strike, expiry, premium, and a plain-language read on what the trade might mean. **Market Pulse** — a real-time sentiment barometer tracking the call/put ratio across the entire flow feed. Bullish or bearish? The gauge tells you at a glance. **Who's Hot** — a leaderboard of the most active tickers by options volume, updated continuously.
Design Philosophy
The retro pixel aesthetic isn't decoration — it's a deliberate choice to lower the intimidation barrier. A dark arcade cabinet feels approachable in a way that Bloomberg terminals do not. Every data point is paired with plain-English context. 'FIRST WHALE SPOTTED' is more memorable than a raw dollar figure. Tooltips explain what each metric means before you even need to ask. Flow is meant to be the first options tool that doesn't make beginners feel stupid.
Stack
React + Vite for near-instant load and hot reload during development. TypeScript throughout. Retro pixel fonts (Press Start 2P, VT323) for visual identity. Deployed on Vercel with automatic CI from GitHub.
